THE
DADUKOS
SONG 86 |
The DADUKOS is a band who attempt
to
celebrate an amalgam of melody and noise. Generally speaking, we fail
formidably on the former and, on the latter, exceed our wildest
ambitions. SONG
86
was written at a time when the
lure of football was giving way to the lure of orbs of a different
texture
entirely. The guitar was a new fascination as well -- as close to a
bullhorn
as I could find to pronounce this new and vexing alchemy of sexual
stimulation,
musical invention and ungovernable romantic schlock. As a result, this
youth-inspired composition suffers severely from indiscriminant
variations in
tempo, tonality, stentorianality, and movement about the fret board
from play
to play to play. |
