Emerson Groundwater Consultants Inc. (EGCI) was founded by Mr. Daniel Emerson in 1996. The company providesspecialist technical expertise within the general field of hydrogeology, specializing in groundwater modeling and water supply. Based in North Delta, British Columbia, EGCI has completed projects in Canada, the United States, New Zealand, and Indonesia.As a small business, EGCI is flexible and responsive to our client’s needs;our low overheads make us a cost effective alternative to large corporate firms.EGCI’s client base includes local governments, small businesses, and other consulting firms seeking specialized groundwater expertise.

A full suite of computer hardware and software is maintained in order to provide exceptional analytical capability to our client base.  This software includes GMS, a full featured three dimensional groundwater modeling system, and SEEPW, a twodimensional finite element package.

Analytical capability includes:
Finite difference and finite element groundwater flow;
Reactive and non-reactive contaminant transport;
Particle tracking; and
Solids modeling.
         In addition to thismodeling suite, our analysts are expert programmers in FORTRAN and Microsoft Quick Basic. This collection of analytical capabilities provides a very powerful and versatile set of tools to analyze any groundwater problem.
