Transport Modeling
Mr. Emerson and Ms. Bessler collaborated on the modeling of groundwater flow
and transport on the island of Barbados. The following image illustrates
a theoretical gasoline spill on the major highway on Barbados and the potential
impact on the principal well, the Belle well. This is a very smallportionof
the regional flow model. Several of these sorts of what ifscenarios
were completed for well head protection strategies. In additionto this modeling,
the effects of sewering the west coast of the island wasalso investigated.
