Pump Test Analysis
The pump test below was completed for the Municipality of Whistler B.C. as part of their new landfill construction. The well was drilled downgradient of the landfill in a small bedrock valley. The well was completed in a fine sand which was relatively 'cleaner', i.e. it had less silt, than the overlying sand. The well was developed by jetting with water and airlifting simultaneously.
The pump test curve shows classic unconfined aquifer characteristics with an early time depressurization response followed by delayed yield and then late time drawdown. The test was analysed using 'Infinite Extent' by Starpoint Software
