Sechelt Inlet - Boat Launch

This facilty is a free public boat launch ramp located at the foot of Wharf Rd. (between the Lighthouse Pub and the Porpoise Bay Government Dock), just a few minutes from the downtown area of Sechelt. It is accessible for launching and loading on most tides, except extreme lows. It is an easy place to launch your boat, and has a small tie-up dock beside the ramp. During the summer months parking is limited and you may have to drive a block to find parking for your vehicle and trailer alongside Wharf Road.

Selma Park - Boat Launch

The ramp is a free public boat ramp located on SIB Private Lands just off Highway 101 in Selma Park. It is accessible for launching and loading on most tides, except extreme lows. Exercise caution when backing up as the ramp is uneven, fairly steep, has a dog-leg right and is usually covered in pebbles. There isn't place to tie your boat so it will rest against the beach. The SIB insists that you use the top parking lot for your vehicle and trailer. SIB also has a private dock at the Breakwater exclusively for their commercial fishing fleet.

 

Backeddy Marina - Launch

The Backeddy Marina offers their boat lauch facilty for a fee of $6.00 in and out plus tax. It also costs $6.00 plus tax to park your vehicle and trailer. You can leave your vehicle their for a 24 hr. period. They have a dock facilty where you can tie your boat, while you go and park. Stay between the starboard day beacon and the dock when leaving or entering the ramp. They also have a resturaunt and sell gas.
