Natural Hemp Weaving Yarn
Our current supply of hemp yarns are quite a good quality for weaving. The yarn feels a bit rough, but softens when washed. Hemp, being one of the bast fibres, is similar to weaving with linen.
The yarn comes in 2 weights:
Nm. 10 - Single ply, recommended for weft onlyThe yarn is put up on approx. 1 kg. cones. We can wind it off into smaller 2 oz. skeins if you wish to purchase a small amount to try out.
Nm 10/3 - 3 ply,approx. 1500 ypp - good for warp, can be used for rug warp as well.
