Local 1763 fishing derby at Lorin Lake JUNE 21^ST TO THE 25^TH  2010

 Lorin Lake is east of 100 mile house.  3 km  North of 100 mile house turn right on to Forest Grove Road.  Forest Grove is a 20 min. drive from 100 mile house. Full service gas station, café and grocery store.  It is 35 km from 100 Mile House to Canim Lake. It looks like pavement till you get to the Canim Lake South turn off.  Lorin Lake is 4159 Ft high In elevation, so if you are tenting bring warm gear, extra coats and sleeping bag.  Watch for signs on the road.  I will put up signs saying “Delta Lorin Lake” with arrows pointing in the right direction.  Make sure you photo copy attached directions and bring them with you.

DIRECTIONS;

3 km. from 100 Mile House turn right and follow the road to Forest Grove.  At Forest Grove, turn right onto Canim Lake Road.   Approximately 12 km from Forest Grove, turn right onto Canim Lake South road (aka 8100 road/Mahood Lake).  Follow the south side of Canim Lake and then turn right onto the 8200 Road or Bowers Lake Road.  After 10 km

(6.2 miles) take a right fork which will take you up hill for another 6 km or 3.7 miles.  After all that a cold beer and the lake.  This road is 2 wheel drive, but they say slippery when wet.  For more info go to    

Last year some of us came out the 8200 Road (Bowers Lake Road) past cougar lake.  It was approximately  22 km from Lorin Lake to the corner of the sulphurous Lake Hathaway Lake Road.  This road went straight through to the inter lakes corner on the Bridge Lake Road.  It felt a lot shorter to me than going through 100 Mile House.
