The Tsawwassen party was held on 10th December. What a spread!! There was an excess of food (as always). Thanks to all who cooked and baked so well.
We had a great turn out yet again. Thanks to the "Newplicate" players for playing in the main game for the second year. In an effort to level the playing field somewhat, the game was run in a handicap format. Although none of the "Newplicate" players placed, they all appeared to enjoy themselves and I am sure in time they will play in the regular game.
Diane and I would like to thank you all for your generous gift to us, together with the kind comments and telephone calls. We are very appreciative.
At the same time we would like to mention that it is you, the players, who make our club a success. We provide the environment and you provide the support that keeps us all coming back as often as possible. Like many other clubs we are experiencing a decline in table counts, and it is for this reason that we are committed to a program of encouragement to the newer players.
